Fortunate to have been surrounded by many types of artists growing up, naturally art had always been a calling. Having a lot of support along the way, my interest in tattooing began in 1998 while studying for a Bachelors in Fine Arts at Massachusetts College of Art (class of 2000).
Since tattooing was still illegal in 1998, I found myself apprenticing in Cumberland, RI, then officially completing an apprenticeship in Quincy, MA in 2003 while finishing up a Masters degree in Science Technology (UAT, class of 2003) that began in 2001 in Tempe, AZ.
I have been fortunate to have worked with talented tattoo artists over the years who I will always be grateful to for their time and generosity.
In the Spring of 2010, I opened Art and Soul Tattoo to create a positive, safe and welcoming environment for both artists and clients alike where I work full-time by appointment.

Most ideas are welcome - especially birds, skulls, flowers and anything Celtic inspired (which I would love to do more!!)

TOBY
Toby is a tattoo artist whose artistic journey began with a college education in 2D animation and game design. They began their apprenticeship in Colorado in 2019 and officially started tattooing in 2021.
They joined Art & Soul at the end of the summer of 2024.
Drawing on their background in visual storytelling, they now channel their creativity into bold, illustrative tattoos. Check out available flash here!
Animated characters, video game inspired designs, and neo traditional flowers always very welcome.
